The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) of India stands as a pioneering Public-Private Partnership, orchestrated under the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Government of India. Its core mission is to enhance skill development across the nation by encouraging the establishment of large-scale, high-quality, for-profit vocational/ Technical training entities.
Established in alignment with the National Skill Development Mission, the NSDC addresses India's critical need for skilled labour across various sectors, bridging the gap between the demand for and supply of skilled workforce. The National Policy on Skill Development has set an ambitious target of skilling.
NSDC's goal is to skill or upskill, focusing particularly on those from rural areas. This will be achieved through the promotion of private sector engagements in skill development initiatives and the provision of viability gap funding. The NSDC's programs encompass skills from both the organized and unorganized sectors.
This partnership underscores our commitment to fostering a skilled workforce that meets the contemporary demands of various industries, both domestically and internationally.
